Do you know of Gods free gift?

As outdoorsmen and women, we should realize that hunting, fishing, or that outdoor adventure we love, are "free gifts" given to us for our enjoyment, but in no way provide true fulfillment.
All these things we treasure, memories and trophies, though memorable are temporal.
True fulfillment can only be found in a personal relationship with God’s Son, Jesus Christ.
Now, we all have shot or cast and “missed” the target when hunting or fishing. But did you know that in the Bible to “sin” literally means, “to fall short of the target,” or “to miss”?
Romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”
In our lives, “missing the target” or “sin”, always results in disappointments and failure, our sin has a high price in that it separates us from God, and God wants us to be with Him, through that personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Romans 6:23 “for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord”
God not only shows His love for us through the wonders of the outdoors, but ultimately through His Son, Jesus.
Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us”
(that means you personally)
God has offered us a gift or a trophy of love that we neither deserve nor can earn, but He gives freely
to all whom will accept it.
Romans 10:9-10 “That if you confess with your mouth that you are a sinner and fall short of the glory of God,
that Jesus Christ is Lord of all,
and believe in your heart that God has raised Him
from the dead, you will be saved.
For with the heart one believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Amen
All you must do to receive this eternal "gift" or “trophy” is to call on the name of the Lord.
Romans 10:13 “for who ever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved”
So, “do you know God?”
If the answer is “no” or “I’m not sure”, but you would like to be able to say with out a doubt “YES!”
Good News, you can know Him through Jesus Christ!
Simply pray this prayer or a prayer from your heart like this in your own words:
God I admit I am a sinner and need you. I ask you for your forgiveness from my sin, and for your gift of eternal salvation. I believe Jesus died for me on the cross and you raised Him from the dead. Restore my relationship with you. I ask Christ to come into my life to be my Lord and Savior. I give you my life because it is all I have to give.
Amen
If you just prayed this prayer or your own similar, we rejoice with you, along with all the angels in heaven, because there is much to rejoice about.
And just as all hunters and fishers like to let others know of our success or trophies in the field and to share the outdoors with our families, our children, friends and sometimes withstrangers.
In the same way, we should desire to show and tell what God has done in our lives and of the Good News, of what Christ has done on the cross and of His resurrection and of the wonders of His creation!
